American Honey

He got tired of riding and decided to take Bailey for a ride in the wagon

Landon already picks flowers for his sweet mommy, he's gonna be a heartbreaker for sure.

I was on the way from work this afternoon and Lady A's song American Honey came on, that song just makes me think of spring/summer. I noticed this morning that our bradford pears are starting to bloom. Spring, next to fall is my favorite season. I love the freshness of spring and the vibrant colors of fall. It was such a beautiful day, after Landon ate his supper we went for a walk, or I pulled him in his all terrain wagon with IPOD stuffed in my bra. He loves being outside and on days like today, I can't say that I blame him. I too have something invested in walking, about 20 lbs that I want to come off. 20 months after having Landon I have yet to see my bikini bod. I've accepted the fact that I will probably never see the 90lb days again but I'll be happy with a good medium. Its amazing how hard it is to get the weight off after babies. When you're 4'9", its even harder. I'm really hoping to lose at least 10-15 lbs before the end of May when I have some major hip surgery and will be out of comission for about 3 months. We'll see how that goes. Walking helps to relax Landon and get him ready for bed so it's a win win situtation.

I didn't have a wild bed buddy last night. About 1245 I heard the pidder padder, or shall I say stomps of Landon making his way to our room. He threw George (curious george stuffed animal aka his security blanket) into bed with me and I asked him if he wanted to go sleep in his bed. He grabbed George and made his way back to his room with me following behind. He's so growny when he walks, he swings his left arm like he's going somewhere with a purpose. I stayed in his room for a few minutes until he drifted back to sleep and I went back to the peacefulness of my bed. We did this a couple of times last night before he was up and at em at 545 this am.

Big game tomorrow night....LETS GO DUKE!!!!

Let's give this a try

I've been a blog follower for a long time but never created one of my own because I have never seen my self as a "writer." Who cares if anyone else finds my blog interesting or funny, I'm doing this for myself, to keep track of the changes that happen every day. I wanted to start a blog when I was pregnant with Landon, a pregnancy and 20 months of raising a wild man later, here it goes....

...Landon was 20 months old Saturday, I can't believe how fast he is growing up. He's got a little URI and is wheezing so Sunday night I went in to check on him, heard him wheezing and for comforts sake, put him in the bed with me. Big Mistake!! The past two nights, he has gotten out of his bed, opened his bedroom door and made his way into our bedroom and in between us in bed. Landon is a very bad bed buddy. I was awakened at 530 this am with a kick in the face. I was talking to my mom this morning, we have to stop this habit ASAP. I love having my little man beside me at night but I also am not too keen on the idea of a black eye. I may entertain the idea on the weekends if it gets him to sleep in. He is such an early bird, he sure doesn't get it from me, I guess it comes from his Uncle Daniel. I miss sleeping until 7am (haha), that's sleeping now a days. It's time to go pick up the wild thang from school. I turn over my rights to watch TV to him and The Backyardigans or CMT. I'll leave you with a video of him dancing to "my taylor" Taylor Swift. I'll have to catch him singing to Hillbilly Bone (his all time favorite song). He stops when he catches me with a camera because "i wanna see."

See ya soon.......
